Job Overview
A self-starter Field Technician is able to deliver the desired customer service experience. The goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention and increases profitability. Perform skilled technical duties relating to the installation and maintenance of appliances and related services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Establishes and maintains a high level of quality and timely installation to customers for maximum retention.
Compute estimates and actual costs of factors such as materials, labor, or outside contractors.
Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
Provide service and customer support during field visits.
Inspect, test, and measure completed work, using devices such as hand tools or gauges to verify conformance to standards or repair requirements.
Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.
Able to read, comprehend wire schematics and blueprints
Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks.
Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches workflow to schedule
Troubleshoot, test and service technical equipment or problems and provide solutions.
Respond to trouble tickets within acceptable company time-frame standards. Provide Service and support for repair/maintenance of new and existing equipment, including start-up and commissioning
Meet documentation time frame standards for closing trouble tickets, service orders, timesheets, etc.
Operate vehicles in a safe manner and use field automation systems.
Keep service trucks clean, organized and stocked with required inventory to perform job duties.
Cooperate with the technical team and share information across the organization.
Complete inventory replenish requests as needed.
Follow all Company’s Policies and procedure.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Technical Degree or Certification, plus 3 to 4 years of experience.
Valid Driver’s License and in good standing
CDL preferred but not required.
Possess reliable transportation.
Must be able to pass a Background Check and Drug Screening.
Valid Medical Card.
Familiarity with mobile tools and applications. Ability to operate a computer and use various software programs.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Must be able to stand for a long period of time.
Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach and lift over 150 pounds with provided professional equipment.
Be computer literate to the extent necessary to fulfill this function. Knowledge of Excel and Word is required. Should also be very familiar with the use of smartphones, text messaging, and email.
Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.
Customer Service Driven. Assist consumers by providing information on options for improved operations of the equipment.
Proven analytical skills. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems and solve them.
Initiative to resolve problems and seek answers independently and enthusiastically persist until goals are achieved.
