Appliance Service and Repair Technician

Job Overview:
The Appliance Service and Repair Technician will diagnose and repair, adjust, and install all types of electric or gas household appliances, such as (but not limited to) refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges and ovens.
Service and repair domestic electrical or gas appliances.
Talk to customers or refer to work orders to establish the nature of appliance malfunctions and recommend whether appliance repair or replacement is a better choice.
Provide cost estimates for repairs/installations and collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed.
Refer to schematic drawings, product manuals, and troubleshooting guides to diagnose and repair problems.
Replace worn and defective parts such as switches, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, circuit boards, or defective wiring.
Set appliance thermostats, and check to ensure that they are functioning properly.
Level washing machines and connect hoses to water pipes, using hand tools.
Record maintenance and repair work performed on appliances.
Qualifications:
Valid Georgia Driver’s License with a clean record.
1+ years of proven field service experience.
Familiarity with mobile tools and applications. Ability to operate a computer and use various software programs.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong communication skills to confidently explain information and speak with Customers.
