Job Overview: 

The Appliance Service and Repair Manager will apply all the technical knowledge they’ve gained throughout their career, in a consultative and coaching position. The Appliance Service and Repair Manager will evaluate all repairs and/or adjustments of all types of electric or gas household appliances, such as but not limited to: refrigerators, washers, dryers, and ovens. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Continuously look for methods to improve business performance and enhance the customer experience.

  • Provide direction and mentor other Technical Helper, as applicable.

  • Ability to receive truck stock in Warehouse and/or pick up materials from business partners.

  • Maintain stock inventory of parts used in on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of appliances within the prescribed company guidelines and standards.

  • Refer to schematic drawings, product manuals, and troubleshooting guides to diagnose problems.

  • Record maintenance and repair work performed on appliances.

  • Provide repair cost estimates, and recommend whether appliance repair or replacement is a better choice.

  • Talk to customers or refer to work orders to establish the nature of appliance malfunctions.

  • Attains Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Performance goals.

  • Motivates coworkers on obtaining service leads.

  • Assists with “On the Job” training.

  • Build rapport with property managers, realtors, and building managers to build service leads. 

  • Follow all Company’s Policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 5 plus years of Appliance Repair or other Service Industry experience, with excellent written and verbal communication capability

  • Technical Degree or Certification is a must.

  • Familiarity with mobile tools and applications. Ability to operate a computer and use various software programs.

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to move and/or lift 250 pounds or more.

  • Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull and reach.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time. 

  • Must be able to work independently and exercise good judgment with no direct supervision.
